This morning int the taxi I heard these news:Ananova – Police force quits after lottery win

A town’s entire police force has quit in Hungary after winning more than £10 million in the lottery.
The 15-strong squad in Budaors scooped the jackpot with their ticket on Tuesday and all resigned on the spot.
Police chiefs have scrambled back-up units to the region until more full-time officers can be recruited.

Interestingly when I was listening the news there followed a discussion about the meaning of a police department, the role and duties of the police in the society and why underpayment is bad for them.

The last I saw yesterday on the screen was boyfriend saying good night. The first in the morning I did was saying good night to boyfriend. Seven hours reduce the contact options enourmously.

This morning I had an interesting experience. When I got out of the cab my glasses were steamed up. Unbelievable! The air was so hot and humid outside. I was happy to jump into the air-conditioned building a second later. I suppose all I love about the Irish weather is the opposite of the conditions here.

Today was my first workday today in the office. We started at nine and finished almost 12 h later. It is an exciting opportunity to work with different nations on that kind of project. Anyways I don’t want to bore you with work details. Just one more thing to say: I loved the Indian canteen food. I was to shy to take a picture… it was rice, a spicy soup which name i forgot, some chicken, the most tasty aubergine stew I have ever eaten and some yogurt. Yummy!

After work I was asking for recommendation for local food and got sent into a posh area with a nice food gallery serving all different kind of tastings. As I am not pushed about all you can eat BBQ and as I never go to an empty restaurant I ended up in a Belgian place – not the kind of local food I expected. I had a nice pumpkin soup at the oosters. And I decided to ask somebody else tomorrow ;)

Also good news: I got my hotel room changed and have now a large bed and a work desk. Jippieh!

I also took some photos. Again a picasa slideshow. I just took random pictures on my way back. I really like the light at night, the huge buildings. I learned to not jaywalk – I didn’t liked the sound of ‘of course you can do that you just need to pay a fine’ – and got introduced to the saying Singapore is a fine-city X-D
